Sarah Reesor Ceramics is a home pottery studio operating in Austin, Texas.

Functional ware with a focus on surface.

All of my work is thrown on the wheel with Laguna B-Mix cone 10- a lovely smooth white stoneware. The pieces are fired either in a gas kiln or in a soda-kiln. All work is microwave and dishwasher safe.

More sketches from New York! We saw some great architecture on our sightseeing tour; I especially loved the Little Island! I wish we had the time (and energy) to go see the park itself, but the view from the water was cool.

Just a few fresh shot glasses! Throwing off the hump is fun and fast but I have had issues with s cracks before- hoping some aggressive compression will prevent that!

More mugs in process! I have a couple of custom orders for friends as well as needing to restock mugs for any sales this year so I’ll be making mugs for a while I think XD

I finished up the sketches from photos I took at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC; the dinosaur bones were also amazing but not something I’m going to try and sketch!

Happy New Year! I actually made these pieces on the 31st- yesterday was just a recovery day lol; but it was fun to make these tiny little pots for a couple of business card holders.

Christmas present fun! I’m kind of obsessed with these metal earth models and this one is the biggest and most complicated I’ve ever done!

Big mug and tiny mug! Aka Sarah ran out of workable clay because she procrastinated and didn’t rehydrate the bag of too-hard clay XD Well that is in progress now and I’ve got a tiny mug!

I haven’t been doing any clay after that initial pre-Christmas rush lol, but I did finish this amazing diamond painting! It’s sealed and I can’t wait to get it hung up on the wall!
